Happy Easter- April 2011 News
20 Apr 2011
Hello
So the Easter break (and Royal Wedding!) is almost upon us – hard to believe we’re this far into 2011 already. Summer may also be almost here judging by the forecast….
Here are some bits and pieces from Anna Addison Associates…
We’ve moved!
Most of you will now be aware that we’ve moved to Stokesley, North Yorkshire. Email address and mobile number are still the same but our new office landline is 01642 710707. And the office is twice the size with wonderful views of Captain Cook’s Monument and Roseberry Topping!
What we’re up to
Springboard Business Centre- I’m delighted to have been invited to speak at Springboard on May 20th. I’ll be sharing some tricks of the trade and you can find out more here http://www.springboardbusinesscentre.co.uk/events.htm
Darlington College- I’ll also be sharing my experiences with students on the Chartered Institute of Marketing course at Darlington College in May.
Web Films- Anna Addison Associates can now offer this service, at a reasonable price, to help you promote various aspects of your business online. Please call or email for more information. 01642 710707 anna@annaaddisonassociates.com
Latest news….
Quite a few new businesses to introduce you to, here goes: -
Yorebridge House- tucked away in the beautiful North Yorkshire Dales, Yorebridge House is home to a relaxing bar, restaurant and hotel all set within stunning grounds. Recently voted as the Most Romantic Hotel in the UK, by Trip Advisor, Yorebridge House is easy to find yet far enough away to enjoy utter peace and quiet, fabulous food and a spa treatment or two. If you’re out for the day, pop in for a drink or bite to eat- it’s a real gem. http://www.yorebridgehouse.co.uk/
Saveometer- so you want to save money on your electricity and gas bills? This is the product for you. The UK’s first personal smart meter that monitors both. It would make an ideal Father’s Day pressie too. The product only officially launched in February but already it has popped up in the Times and Sunday Times- both giving it a good review- with some of the glossy mags in the pipeline. http://www.saveometer.com/
Everly’s- here’s an idea for the Bank Holidays if you’re in the Teesside/North Yorkshire areas. Everly’s is a continental café/restaurant on Yarm High Street. The team serves a tasty mix of dishes to suit all wallets/purses and they’ve just opened their sun-trap terrace. It’s the only real spot in Yarm for catching the sun whilst enjoying a great meal. Their extensive wine list is all served by the glass and they sell the cider brewed by the monks at Ampleforth along with lots of local beers from North Yorkshire micro-breweries. http://everlys.co.uk/
Ingleby Barwick Golf Academy (IBGA) - overlooking the banks of the River Tees, it’s hard to believe you’re in the heart of bustling Ingleby Barwick. For pros and amateurs alike, IBGA is open to all, hosts a range of professional tournaments, holds all sorts of family events and has a modern bistro with a sunny terrace to enjoy a coffee, snack or something more substantial. http://www.inglebybarwickgolfacademy.co.uk/
Bring, Buy, Sell- bridging the gap between high street and online shopping, giving people the chance to offload their good quality, second-hand or vintage goods on a sale or return basis. The store specialises in bulky home-wares and electricals which can often be hard to shift. Bring, Buy, Sell is the ultimate in recycling and the chance to de-clutter or bag a bargain for the home. http://www.bringbuysell.co.uk/
ibod- ‘intelligent business on demand’, based in South Bank near Middlesbrough, provides free business search engines, social networking and advertising for charities, SMEs and corporate organisations. The company is set to revolutionise internet marketing and experts predict it could rival the likes of Google, Yell and Yahoo. Take a look, there may be something here for you and your business http://www.ibodsearch.com/
Clarinéo- as heard on BBC Radio 2. Hot on the heels of his appearance on BBC Look North, Graham Lyons recently appeared on Simon Mayo’s Drivetime show to showcase his invention. The Clarinéo is a unique woodwind instrument, designed to help young children learn a musical instrument. At the age of 74, Graham has realised his dream and achieved worldwide success, selling up to 13,000 instruments a year. Graham is now seeking investment to create more similar products. http://www.clarineo.co.uk/
